The Bristol Pound and Koolmami.com have put together a FREE event aiming to boost inter-trading and collaboration between organisations based in Bristol and the surrounding areas. The event, which is being hosted at St Peter’s Church in Frampton Cotterell will feature presentations from local organisations that offer support to independent businesses, each of them discussing different ways that businesses can promote each other’s development as well as keeping more money and opportunities circulating within in the local Bristol and South Gloucestershire communities.
‘Free localised business advice and free marketing is available to local businesses who are willing to collaborate with each other and share resources’, that is the joint message from local children’s gift retailer Koolmami.com and the team behind Bristol’s new local currency, the Bristol Pound. Both organisations believe that local businesses have untapped potential within the region which the city’s independent trading community holds the key to unlocking.
Gareth Walling, General Manager of Koolmami.com said: “We are really excited about the collaboration event as it will bring together the skills of many local businesses that have not previously considered working together. We hope that some of the smaller Bristol based producers of handmade products in attendance will find ways of reaching new stockists and opportunities to market themselves through collaboration that they had not thought of previously as well.”
When asked to accommodate the event John Alexander, church warden at St Peter’s Church was keen to state the importance that is felt by the local community for an initiative saying: “We feel the need to collaborate/co-operate in this.”
The collaboration event is a ticket only affair however the event is free. Interested business owners need to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to request their free ticket and full event details as soon as possible. Event organisers are also offering eight promotional stalls for hire on the night for £10 each. All proceeds from the event will be donated to St Peter’s Church which is where the event is being hosted.
