On 4 July – Bristol Independents Day – shoppers across the city shopped at independent outlets, and then showed us where they’d shopped by sending in a photo of themselves shopping, or a copy of their receipt. Anyone who showed us their shopping was entered into a prize draw to win goodies from other local independent retailers.
On Saturday 29 September, Councillor Guy Poultney presented the winners with their prizes outside St Nicholas market. A big thank you to everyone who entered the competition, and also to the Bristol Independents who donated prizes – Thali café, UpFest gallery, Pieminister, Potters, Stokes Croft china, Paper Village, Sheepdrove organic butchers, Glass Designs, Leigh Court Farm, Saint Stephen’s café, St Nicholas market and Ward’s Solicitors.
