From head baker at award winning Bristol establishment Papadeli, a stint in London at renowned East London eatery Franze and Evans, to being offered a job in the bakery for Ottolenghi; local baker Tamarind Galliford has decided it was about time she returned to Bristol to open up her own place in foodie heaven, St Nicholas Market.
Drawing influence from around the world with Baci di Dama from Italy, Tres Leche from Mexico, American Red Velvet and the Great British Victoria sponge; Tam combines her love of local, seasonal ingredients with her accomplished baking techniques and passion for fine art, in beautifully presented cakes that taste as gorgeous as they look.
Transforming the beloved Sourdough Cafe into a cake paradise, you’ll be surprised and delighted by innovative recipes such as orange & earl grey, avocado & lime, or chocolate with pear & raspberry. There’ll also be many gluten free and vegan delights.
