4th July Competition

Thanks so much to everyone who shopped independently on 4 July and entered our free prize draw! The fabulous following prizes were handed-out outside St Nicholas market on 15 September…

  • Bristol Independents’ BBQ box from Sheepdrove Organic Farm butcher’s shop in Bristol including handmade burgers, (gluten-free) sausages and kebabs – all organic of course. The meat comes from grass-fed animals reared on Sheepdrove Organic Farm in Berkshire to the best organic standards including grasslands sown with herbs so animals can self-medicate, rubbing posts for the animals for self-massage and homeopathic remedies to prevent illness and create optimum health and vitality.
  • £20 voucher to spend at Glass Designs & Gallery on North Street, Southville, where there is an ever-changing display of stained glass mirrors, hangings and lamps, alongside handmade ceramics, prints of local scenes, and Bristol-made jewellery.
  • A lunchtime meal for two at Saint Stephen’s Café, the perfect place to meet at lunchtime. Saint Stephen’s has free lunchtime concerts every Wednesday 1pm in September (and even other month), and the café offers seasonal homemade dishes, Fair Trade teas and (real) coffee.
  • £20 voucher to spend on distinctive Stokes Croft China – fine bone china from Staffordshire, subverted by Stokes Croft style.
  • £10 voucher to spend in the yummy Mall Deli in Clifton Village.
  • Four prizes of £10 vouchers to spend at one of the award-winning Thali Cafés in Montpelier, Easton, Clifton or Totterdown.
  • £10 voucher to spend in the lovely Potters shop on Perry Road. Potters are a co-operative of more than 25 craft potters and ceramic artists – so there’s bound to be something to suit everyone in their showcase shop.
  • A hamper from St Nicholas market.
  • £20 voucher to spend at the Upfest urban art gallery.
  • A big veg box and fruit bag from Leigh Court Farm, delivered to your door on the Friday of your choice.
  • £10 voucher to spend at Pieminister.
  • Free membership of Paper Village’s rubber stamp library – giving you access to a new world of craft activity.
  • And from Ward’s Solicitors… Here at Wards we’ve been proud to be a part of a vibrant, historical part of Bristol for over 100 years. Being a local, independent business is important to us and we’re pleased to support this Independents Day by offering a voucher to cover the cost of our writing simple Wills for a couple up to the value of £250 + VAT.
